new me
OK i decided to try some new chit i quit smoking 5 days ago and not really played any poker partly due to the fact my concentration is all over the place right now reckon i'll just maintain the no poker theme for another week. Nicotine cravings have gone it eased off after the 1st day which might i add was just pure hell but i got through it ....Acid test was this afternoon in the bookies i managed to cope ok even trho i was inadvertantly sat in the smoking section.....

Luton
Went down to Luton saturday aftertoon to do the live update of the £1000 no limit main event
102 entrants which eventually finished at 2am monday morning Plans went pearshaped when the lad who usually does updates with me was ill and i had to cover the event myself went well considering the field was slimmed down to 42 remaining after day one
Day two started at 3pm sunday afternoon and it took 5 hours to slim the field down 9 players for the final of which two of my buddies was still in both reasonably chipped up play continued until 2am and then i watched the guys play cash game after two days of doing updates i had no desire to play my mind was on clockwatch laughs train was departing luton at 06.33 parole was coming it was my escape route and some well earned sleep on the journey to sheffield

Wow been an hectic 4 days
Started off in sheffield on thursday missed entry into the competition full by time arrived,Stuck on a train arriving 3 1/2 hours late did not help country goes to pieces with the slightest inclement weather ahhh well these things happened.......cash game was a total disaster managed to have my first Tilt of 2007. Managed to donk of £300 playing like an absolute muppet i suppose we need these events to bring us back to earth remind us of the perils..

Yikes been letting this slide
Got back from Bolton after plaing the £200 freezeout and what can i say about that!!!! First hand played after nearly 30 minutes play was AA which got smashed by AK i lost 3700 of my original 5000 start stack on that hand Midway through level two there 3 limpers into the pot by this time i only have 950 so decided to push all in for 950 all fold around to Sb who calls with a mighty K-5 suited methinks he is of scandinavian descent.. Anyway flop came good for me turn brings flush draw for the other guy i instantly say Nice Hand i know whats coming and yes exocet missile flush on river and thats me off to the rail well tella little lie i was off to the bar Bottle of Magners and time for reflection. Friday onwards i had to do the live update of the GukPT £1000 buyin event which might i add was an most impressive competition the field was very tough!!! day one went rather slow lost 60 players out of the field of 200 entrants. Day two was a gruelling day back in the casino for the 3pm start until end of play at 3am just the run of the mill 12 hours the field was dwindled down to just 19 entrants coming back for day 3
Day 3 started at 3.00pm sharp for the lucky 9 that made the final started around 7.30 this was televised due on channel 4 sometime later in the year
Monday arrived home at 9am shattered no sleep through the night decide to try get some sleep but my son decided he wanted to play so bang goes chance of sleep i ended up playing some poker on littlewoods finished the day +$70 better result than been having on ladbrokes yay
Overall the last 4 days have been hugely tiring and today i feel much better after having a huge 12 hours sleep Back to the grind on littlewoods i go wish me luck!

Had builders in working on the house so poker was a non starter to a degree, did mess around on Ladbrokes on a micro hi-lo game lost $75 so my current trend on ladbrokes is going well.
Off to Hull today for a £10 pot limit rebuy competition never been on a sunday no doubt be same as every other day rebuy frenzy!!!!!, A win would be nice got plasterers coming in to do the walls
